Here's how this page looked the day before season 1 ended, preserved for posterity:
Based in Detroit, Michigan, LOVELAND is all about creative new concepts in micro payments for micro ownership and use of land. It is building frameworks for many people to invest and participate in the creation of something where nothing was before, and to interact with places both in person and online in various unique ways.
Starting with the smallest unit of American measurement, the humble inch, the first LOVELAND "colony" is a 10,000 square inch grid called Plymouth. People are invited to purchase these inches for a dollar a piece and get creative with their space. When Plymouth is full it will move outdoors from its temporary home in Detroit's Russell Industrial Center and the next colony (or colonies) will appear.
So far LOVELAND owns one small property at 8887 East Vernor Highway as a possible home for Plymouth:
Plans are underway to purchase more properties with different themes and activities based on ideas that come up and things people ask for. To support this exploration, the project takes twists and has fun, game-like overtones (you can see Inchy jumping up and down to the left, who also makes appearances in a few wacky videos). The future of LOVELAND is open-ended but here's a recent email exchange that shows some DNA of its direction:

And here's a funny little picture of me, for that personal touch. :)
